Knights of Columbus Donates $500k

The FUSION Décor Boutique and Transitional Housing programs will benefit greatly from a $500,000 check presented by the Knights of Columbus Seattle Council 676. These capital funds will be used to pay off a mortgage on the building that houses the upscale retail business, and will provide matching funds to purchase an additional housing unit as well.

The Boutique building in Federal Way, purchased in 2017, also houses FUSION’s newly acquired Poverty Bay Café business. The Knight’s donation will facilitate purchase of the 21st home in the organization’s 28-year history. FUSION will be required to match a portion of the funds.

The mission of Knights of Columbus, a global Catholic fraternal service organization, involves charity in the community. A headquarters building constructed in 1912 for Seattle Council 676, the original Washington State Knights location, was sold last year. The donation to FUSION came from proceeds of that sale.
