Sheltering Families is a Worldwide Effort

Giving Tuesday

An estimated 150 million people are homeless globally. Charitable organizations throughout the world have developed innovative ways to house these disadvantaged individuals in their communities. Cambridge in England is building 200 mini modular homes as a solution to homelessness in their city. And an innovative project in Chennai, India, is using cutting-edge 3D-printing technology to produce low-cost homes for their unsheltered citizens.

FUSION shares a purpose with Cambridge and Chennai and many such cities throughout the world by providing emergency shelter and transitional housing to local families experiencing homelessness, empowering them to work toward self-sufficiency.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that originated in New York City in collaboration with the United Nations Foundation in 2012. Officially the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, the appeal encourages acts of generosity including donating funds or volunteering time to causes that build a better community for all. Many of these efforts embrace housing for homeless populations.

Be proud to celebrate Giving Tuesday by supporting the FUSION mission to provide housing and support services to unsheltered families in our community. Your contribution of funds, goods, services and volunteer time are also gratefully welcome on any chosen days throughout the year. Click here to Donate
